Frut.ops started with a simple thought: why should you have to wait for a special occasion to have something special?
We’re Soumyo and Akshita, two people who left our day jobs to start The One Five Co. because we wanted to bring new, globally loved dessert experiences to India — but in a way that felt completely our own.
We wanted ice cream to be more than just another scoop. Something you could have fun with. Something that made you pause, pick your favourite flavours, and smile when you realised that what looked like a piece of fruit was actually ice cream.
And so began Früt.ops.
What followed was a lot of late nights, stubborn moulds that cracked at the worst possible moment, batches that didn't turn out quite right, and more starting over than we'd like to admit. But we kept going because we didn't want to make something that was simply different. We wanted to make something worth experiencing.
We wanted you to taste the fruit, feel that velvety creaminess, and experience ice cream in a way you hadn't before.
Then came our first order.
It was a small box, but to us, it meant everything. It was the first time something we had spent so many nights dreaming about, making and remaking had found its way into someone else's hands.
And that's what we hope Frut.ops becomes — the dessert next door.
The one you order on an ordinary Tuesday because you feel like making the day a little more fun. The one you bring home for someone you love, even when there’s no birthday, no celebration, and no particular reason.
Because we believe the best moments don't always need an occasion.
Sometimes, all it takes is a little box of ice cream to make an ordinary day feel special.
And that's the kind of dessert we want Früt.ops to be.
